Chapter 20: Jean Broody vs. Bradley Jackson ~ When suppressed desires explode… Sexual tension!

***

To Jean’s credit, Bradley hadn’t heard any more sexual sounds or seen any females in the house. Jean did go out every night though and Bradley knew without a doubt that he was having all the sex he wanted, out there. To say he disliked the idea of Jean being with others sexually would be underplaying how he truly felt, which he knew was stupid of him. But he was grateful that at least, Jean had spared him the torture of having to listen to those disturbing sounds.

Although he knew that he shouldn’t be surprised that Jean had a lady over, Bradley couldn’t stop the unpleasant feeling in his chest. He didn’t really know why he was feeling that way because not only was Jean, not his…the man wasn’t the type to be committed to one person, the man was as straight as an arrow and completely out of his league. Even though Bradley didn’t want anything to do with a man either…which made how he felt about Jean even weirder, the feeling wouldn’t go away.

“Fuck!” Bradley growled as he angrily slammed a fist on the dining table.

“You okay?” Jean asked, looking at Bradley with concern.

“I didn’t hear you come in,” Bradley muttered when he raised his head to look at Jean, who was looking so strikingly hot in his jeans which were sexily riding low on his hips. He could see the outline of his big cock against his thigh. Bradley felt himself go hard. “I’m fine.”

“You don’t look fine to me…”

“I said I’m fine.” Bradley snapped.

“Hey, chill.” Jean raised his hands in a form of surrender. “I meant no harm.” He looked at Bradley’s bent head for a moment. “I’ll just grab a quick shower and then prepare something for us to eat.”

“I’ve already prepared something.” Bradley stood and moved towards the kitchen. Jean followed.

“Hmm… this place smells like heaven,” Jean commented. “What did you cook?”

Bradley paused in the act of opening the oven and turned his head to look at Jean. “I thought you were going to take a shower.” He said coolly.

Jean raised an eyebrow in surprise at Bradley’s tone. “Yes, I am.” Jean turned to go with an amused chuckle. “Will be right back.”

By the time Jean came back down, the table had been set. Bradley was still in the kitchen though. Jean entered the kitchen just as Bradley was taking out of the oven, four skewers on which what looked like salmon with green pepper and onions were neatly arranged.

“Damn, that looks and smells good.” Jean moaned as he went to stand beside Bradley. “I didn’t know we had salmon in the house. I can’t believe you actually made kebabs.”

“You had skewers and salmon.” Bradley shrugged as he transferred the kebabs onto a plate. “So I simply cut it up, seasoned it, and grilled it. Not a big deal.”

“They look perfect.” Jean couldn’t seem to take his eyes off the yummy-looking salmon kebabs.

And Bradley couldn’t take his eyes off Jean. He thought Jean looked absolutely sexy in his casual, white, drawstrings fleece pants with a white t-shirt. His bare feet made him even sexier. Bradley wished he could run his fingers through his still wet silky dark hair. And the way he smelt… The aroma of the kebab which had Jean salivating was totally lost of Bradley. All he could smell was Jean. He smelled the fragrance that he’d come to associate with Jean…Creed. That fine blend of floral, woody, and green scent was undeniably great on Jean.

When Bradley had taken a tour in Jean’s bedroom and bathroom, he’d realized that Jean’s soap, shampoo, aftershave, body lotion, deodorant, and cologne were all, Creed. And standing so close to him after his shower, enveloped Bradley in that scent. Bradley wished he could hug Jean to him and get lost in that fresh scent. Instead, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

“What are we taking it with?” Jean turned his head to look at Bradley whose eyes were closed. “Bradley?” And when those eyes opened to clash with Jean’s, he felt his breath hitch in his throat at the sheer lust in them.

“What?” Bradley whispered.

Jean looked away, feeling himself flush. For a moment his mind went blank. He didn’t usually find himself at the receiving end of such blatant male hunger.

“Err…should I take these inside?” Jean asked instead.

“Sure.” Bradley croaked, turning abruptly in the direction of the classically elegant glass wine cellar attached to the kitchen. “Would you like any particular type of wine?” He asked without turning to look at Jean. His hands were shaking so bad he needed to keep them where Jean wouldn’t see.

“Surprise me.” Jean picked up the plate of kebabs and left the kitchen.

After Bradley settled on a bottle of Chardonnay, he just stood there, trying to compose himself. He felt as if he was drowning. Drowning in feelings that he couldn’t seem to shake off no matter how hard he tried. Bradley prayed and hoped he got over it somehow. Taking a deep breath, he made his way to the dining area where Jean was just sitting, staring into space.

“This okay?” Bradley asked as he took his seat.

“Yeah.” Jean’s voice sounded low and rough. He cleared his throat and then looked at Bradley with an approving smile. “It’s perfect. White wine usually goes wonderfully well with salmon.” He dished some of the spicy jasmine rice pilaf and tomato sauce that Bradley had prepared to accompany the salmon kebab, onto his plate.

The two men dug into their meal silently, both lost in their own thoughts. Jean still felt shaken inside after seeing that blatant look in Bradley’s eyes earlier so he kept his eyes on his plate. Bradley on the other hand still couldn’t seem to take his eyes off Jean. After a second helping, Jean finally raised his head and met Bradley’s gaze.

“This is really good.” He said. “You don’t look like someone who can cook.”

“Think all I’m capable of is shooting at people?” Bradley drawled as he took a sip of his wine.

“I didn’t say that.”

“But you thought it.”

“If the reading of minds is your hobby, find another because you suck at it.” Jean chuckled.

“Hmm… at least my hobby is not ‘bone the ladies’.” Bradley deadpanned, giving the phrase air quotes.

“Would it have been more acceptable if I was fucking men instead?” Jean knew what he was saying was wrong even as the words fell out of his mouth. “Sorry.” He added quietly.

After remaining quiet for a moment, Bradley cleared his throat. “You don’t have to apologize. I blame myself for giving you the ammunition. This shouldn’t come as a surprise knowing the kind of asshole you are.”

“I said I was sorry.” Jean snapped.

“And that makes everything okay,” Bradley muttered. “Typical.”

“What would you rather I…” Jean began heatedly but trailed off and gave a deep sigh. “Listen, I don’t want to argue with you if you don’t mind,” Jean murmured. “I’m tired.”

“Worn out you mean.” Bradley’s tone was deceptively neutral.

“And what if I am?” Jean snapped but Bradley didn’t say any more.

Jean went back to his meal, shocked at himself. He didn’t know why he was angry. He just was. The usual Jean would have been amused at what Bradley had said and probably given a funny comeback. But strangely, he couldn’t seem to control his emotions which were all over the place. He wasn’t used to not having any reins on them and that scared the shit out of him.
