44 Fuck that
44 Fuck that
Kacie
My skin is crawling and I have to force one foot in front of the other.
We reach the door to the room and I think I can feel a panic attack making its way up.
“Make sure the witch doesn’t leave,” Ken orders his men and then pushes me into the room. He locks the door behind himself and takes off his jacket, followed by his shirt.
I watch for a minute, nervous, frozen. How many times have I been alone with ken and hated every minute of every second I spent with him? How relieved was I when Viktor took me away from him?
How many times had I thanked the Goddess for blessing me with Viktor and rescuing me from the hole hell of a life I had before. Alpha Ken watches me with a thirst in his eyes that I wish wasn’t directed my way.
I don’t even have time to question what the hell that was out there with Clara. I don’t have a second to figure out what made the flames come out. I don’t have a second to find out how I was able to do what I did.
What I do know is after that fight with Clara, I have nothing left to defend myself. I have nothing left in me to fight him. I can fight him, I want to fight him but my fists will bounce off his body and it won’t hurt him. I won’t hurt him because I can’t.
If I put up a fight, it’ll anger him and turn him on. I’ll only make it worse for myself. I force my legs to stop shaking.
If I’d known I couldn’t escape Clara known that she would have won, I would have saved my strength. I would have saved whatever I had to fight him, to hurt him, to make him bleed.
I took a deep breath.
Alpha Ken glided toward me until he was pressing my body into the wall with his own enormous one. Every inch of me molds into him and I’m filled with disgust and fear. Being alone with him in this room, I let myself taste the fear that threatens to suffocate me.
I’m locked alone in a room with Alpha Ken and I’m powerless. The last time I was alone in a room with him in this goddess-forsaken red dress, I didn’t want to fight back.
This time and the last time are not the same. This time, I want to fight back with all of me, with every fiber of my being. I want to throat punch the asshole but I know it won’t hurt him. I know it won’t even phase him but Goddess, I’d feel so damn good about it.
The memory of his hands on my thighs flashes through my mind. I remember the time I lay on the bed at his mercy. If not for my mate ringing the bell, I was seconds from being raped.
Anger flares as I think about how willing I let myself be. I hate how I ignore the urge to fight. I hate how I let myself be swallowed up by my fear. I hate how I let myself be weak.
Athena growls at the word. We taste the flavor of it and I have to bite back a growl. What can I do? I want to fight, I want to kick and scream and yell. I want to give him what he gave me. I want to give it back to him in spades, I want to give it back to him tenfold.
I stare at my hands and when tears drop from my cheeks and splatter. I know I have no choice. I have no strength, the flames won’t come no matter how hard I call them, and I have no one to help me here but I know without a doubt that I won’t let him take me.
I won’t just lay still and let him have his way. Fuck that.
Athena smiles approvingly.
“I miss the way you moan,” he whispers.
I fight the urge to cringe against his body. Alpha’s Ken’s hand comes up and around and slides through and grips my hair. He pulls hard pulling my head back so that I have no choice but to look up at him.
“While you were gone, did you forget who your Alpha is?” He murmurs, his voice deathly quiet. His other hand slides down until he grips my hip. His grip is unforgiving and I bite the cry that threatens to slip out when his fingers dig into flesh.
I don’t want this. I don’t want him. I don’t want this. I don’t want him. The words repeat in my mind as I stare up into his blue unforgiving eyes. I hate the hand that disappears from my hip and grips my ass. I hate how it kneads at my curves and hate the way his eyes scream ‘mine’ as they look down at me.
I hate the way his hand is pulling my hair hard enough to cause my spine to tingle. I hate the way his eyes lower and focus on my bleeding lip. I hate the way his tongue darts out and wets his bottom lip from right to left.
“Do you think I didn’t notice?” He growls, his hot breath fanning my face. Anger flashes in his eyes but I won’t lower my eyes.
He towers over me.
“You don’t answer me because you don’t want to refer to me as Alpha,” he says quietly.
“You don’t hesitate to look me in the eye even though it’s a form of defiance,” he says a little louder as his hand grips my thigh.
“Or how about the fact that you didn’t fall to your knees and bow your head the moment we walked through the fucking door,” he growls, his grip on my thigh tightens.
I clench my lips together. Any answer I give will only rile him up.
